Grace Wang’s interest in photography began in middle school when she saw one of her dance instructor’s photos on the wall at the studio. While at a bonfire one of the following summers, she and a few friends tried to emulate this photo’s beauty and grace; when they got close to it, Grace felt overwhelming joy and excitement. After receiving her first SLR camera in high school, she developed an interest in food photography, which would later lend its practice and knowledge as useful down the road in her ability to capture movement photos.
Years later, she began taking fitness classes at a local pole studio in college. This is when she began to learn angles through the lens; Grace learned to prop her phone up against her water bottle to record videos, and would later take screenshots of poses she thought would most mirror and flatter her body’s elegance. As a dancer and perpetual mover, capturing others’ best moving moments has become of great passion of her’s. She is extremely grateful to be integrated in the pole dance and movement communities where she is able to work with such diverse talent.
Although Grace’s clients are largely movement-based, she is also versed in portrait and wedding photography.
